Congratulations to Oregon Flowers for its 2022 SAF awards
Longtime Hortica customer recognized for Best in Class and People’s Choice awards
September 21, 2022 – Hortica, a brand of the Sentry Insurance Group, congratulates its customer, Oregon Flowers, for receiving Best in Show at the Society of America Florists’ Outstanding Varieties Competition in Orlando, Florida earlier this month.
Oregon Flowers received recognition for its flower, 'Zelmira’, a salmon Oriental hybrid lily. The 2022 competition included over 200 entries from 27 companies.
Entries were rated on their color and commercial appeal, stem and foliage, bloom form and size, and overall presentation. Judges awarded Zelmira Best in Show under the Cut Bulb category.
In addition to Best in Show, convention attendees were invited to cast their vote for the “People’s Choice” award. Zelmira continued making a notable impression, winning its second award, which was announced during the SAF Stars of the Industry Awards Dinner.
“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Oregon Flower’s for years now. Their passion for flowers has always shown in the beauty of their products. That’s reflected in this award,” explained Traci Dooley, Hortica’s National Agency Sales Director. “We’re grateful that they place their trust in us to protect their operations, which ultimately makes products like Zelmira possible.”
